International THz research survey by Prof. XiCheng Zhang from THz Center of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is introducing

    The 3rd Ultra-fast Phenomenon and THz Technology Seminar was held in Zijinshan Observatory successfully from 25 to 27 Sept, 2006 reported by the Millimeter Wave and Sub millimeter Wave Lab of Zijinshan Observatory. Organized by Zijinshan Observatory, this seminar was greatly supported by National Fund Committee and National together with the cooperation from THz Center of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Physics Institute of Chinese Academy of Science, Shanghai Micro-system Institute and Nanjing University. The participants included well-known THz researchers and technicians from China, US, Japan and some European countries. The topics covered a variety of areas related to THz research and development such as the generation and exploration of THz signals, THz application in biology, pharmacy, astronomy, atmosphere studies and telecommunication. This seminar would significantly promote a better cooperation among the THz researchers internationally.
